The ISR showed a real growth of 11.2%, the VAT increased 0.8% in real terms, compared to 2021.
Regarding the special tax on production and services (IEPS), the amount that was collected was 117,532.9 million pesos (mdp), it was 72.7% lower, in real terms, than the 399,154.9 million pesos that were collected in 2021.
The foregoing, explained the SAT in the statement, is due to the fact that the total cost of fuel stimuli in 2022 was 373,000 mdp, “with which the increase in fuel prices was avoided as an adjustment mechanism to reduce inflation ”.
In February 2022, when the price of energy began to increase due to the war in Ukraine, the federal government applied the 100% subsidy to the IEPS to try to contain said increase and, therefore, try to contain the rise in the inflation.
