On September 8, the capital of Santa Cruz will vibrate again with the seventh version of the Santa Cruz de la Sierra Marathon that aims to bring together more than 5,000 runners from all over the country. The official launch was made this Wednesday, when the t-shirt that the competitors will wear was also revealed, which will be light blue in tribute to the ‘purest sky in America‘.
The competition will be held in four categories: 42 kilometers for the marathon, 21 km for the half marathon, and the amateur categories 10 and 5 km. Registration can be done at Adidas and Fair Play stores in the country or on the website www.maratonsantacruzdelasierra.com.bo. For short categories it costs Bs 240 and for long categories, 290.
This seventh version is called Adidas Powerade Santa Cruz de la Sierra Marathon and is organized by Lola Group, which produces this pedestrian race, which is the largest in Bolivia. The shirt is made of a 70% fabric made from a series of recycled materials. When it was shown to the public, there was a standing ovation from those present.
The competition has Andrés Raguzzi as the director of the event, who recommended that all participants undergo a medical check-up. “It is important that they look for their own limit and not the other’s, respecting the heart rate“Raguzzi added, anticipating a large number of runners given the expectations that have been generated in the country.

The marathon of 42 km will start at 5:00 and the 21 km, at 6:30. The other two, the 10 and 5 km, will start at 7:00 in an attempt to take full advantage of the cool weather. The marathon will also cover iconic places in the city such as El Cristo, the Mother India, the Cathedral in the center, the Pirate Plane and other places. The Santa Cruz Marathon is in countdown.
