ANDThe Yotaú All Suites Hotel was the scene of the official presentation of the Santa Cruz-FIA Codasur Rally (see video at the end of the article), Competition that will take place in the department of Santa Cruz between August 22 and 25 and is organized by the Departmental Association of Sports Motoring of Santa Cruz Carlos Hugo ‘Chino’ Méndez (Adecruz).
The race will be valid as the third date of the South American Rally Championship, in addition to the fourth round of the FEBAD National Rally Championship and the sixth round of the Copelme Cup Departmental Rally Championship.
In the test The best pilots from Bolivia and South America are expected to participate. and for this, registrations are already open and will extend until Tuesday, August 20, although the primary closing date will be on the 13th.
The organizers expect to have around a hundred participants.which is the maximum number allowed by Codasur.
It was confirmed that the competition will have two stages, with a total length of 179.87 kilometers.
The promotional start will take place on Thursday 22nd at the Cambódromo, between the fourth and fifth rings, with the presence of national and departmental authorities and sponsors.
On Friday 23rd, the race will begin with the night super special of 1.15 kilometers, to be held at the Cambódromo, between the sixth and seventh rings.
On Saturday 24th, the first stage will take place in the northern area of the department of Santa Cruz, as it will run through the Smart City Nueva Santa Cruz and through the municipalities of Montero and Colpa Bélgica.
On Sunday 25th, the second stage will be held in the southern area, by the municipality of La Guardia, and at the Santa Cruz Racetrack. While the awards ceremony will take place at the Cambódromo.
The cruceño Sebastián Franco currently leads the South American Rally Championship in the top category and by winning this event he will be close to winning the title for the 2024 season.
