The Salomé Ureña Higher Teacher Training Institute will select a new rector in January 2026

Santo Domingo. – The Board of Directors of the Salomé Ureña Higher Teacher Training Institute, ISFODOSU, in January 2026, will be carrying out the process of receiving applications to occupy the position of new rector of that academy.

The call is made in compliance with the Organic Statute of the institution and resolution JD-11-2025-01 of its Board of Directors, which establishes the steps to follow for the formation of a shortlist of candidates that will be submitted to the executive branch, in order to select the new rector of the entity for the next four-year period.

In this sense, the highest authority body of that academic entity appointed a commission with several of its members, which will be in charge of coordinating and monitoring an open and competitive process.

The Organic Statute of ISFODOSU, a deconcentrated body of the Minerd, establishes the requirements to apply for rector to have academic and management training and experience, of proven moral solvency.

Also, intellectual prestige with recognized positive impact in the scientific, cultural and educational fields, among other requirements.

The details about the candidate selection and evaluation process will be informed at the time of its opening, in national media and on the ISFODOSU (isfodosu.edu.do) and Minerd (ministeriodeeducacion.gob.do) portals, as well as through their social networks (isfodosurdo and educacionrd).
