After several weeks without any supply, the pieces, with hardly any meat, had to be sold as soon as possible, since the place has problems refrigerating food.
“They are very bare, it is seen that they took everything they could and then they sold us the bones only,” lamented Hortensia, a neighbor of the neighborhood and who, as soon as she saw the delivery truck turn the corner, prepared to start the queue. in front of the trade

Despite the criticism about the quality of the pieces and the lack of refrigeration, the need was stronger than the inconvenience and in a few minutes there was already a line with a dozen people at the door of the butcher shop. The last time that a product distantly related to a cow arrived at the premises was last month when a mincemeat destined for people with medical diets was sold. On that occasion they were not ribs but it was also difficult to imagine the animal from which the food came. Ground or peeled bone, it is the only way in which many people from Sancti Spiritus sporadically come across the larger cattle that were once the pride of their fields and farms.
