The number of patented vehicles during December 2021 amounted to 17,672 units, which represents a decrease of 14.4% year-on-year, since 20,647 units had been registered in December 2020.
If the comparison is with its previous month, a drop of 38.1% is observed, since in November of this year 28,534 units were patented.
Thus, the year 2021 is completed with 381,777 units, this is 11.5% more than 2020, in which 342,540 had been registered.
Looking ahead to next year, for the sector anticipates that “Once again the critical point will be in production due to lack of chips, due to a very worrying issue such as Covid and the restriction on imports due to lack of dollars“.
