In January, most of the workers in the private sector will have a salary adjustment, as agreed in the ninth round of collective bargaining that took place during the second half of the year.
The negotiation involved some 630 thousand workers and agreements were renewed for two years, but also for three and four years in some cases. The percentage of adjustment varies between the different subgroups. Some of those augmentations are included in this note as an example.
Domestic
In the sector of domestic work, from this Saturday a overall increase of 1.47% for all workers. Thus, the minimum wage in this activity goes from $ 23,144 to $ 23,484 for 44 hours of work per week, and 25 monthly wages. And the value of the minimum award per hour rises from $ 121.76 to $ 123.55. Those will be the values that will be in force until next July when there will be another increase.
Commerce, industry and other services
The wages that cover workers of livestock, agriculture, dairy farming and related activities will have semi-annual adjustments. In January 2022 the compensation adjustment will be 4.4%. And in the refrigeration industry the adjustment will be 4.64%.
The tSupermarket workers will have an increase of 3.7%, as well as shops, opticians and building personnel. In warehouses and supermarkets the adjustment will be 3.8%; and 4% in construction barracks.
Within the beverage and malting industry, wages will increase 3.5%, the same as in confectioneries with processing plants, bookstores and stationery stores.
And in the private teaching kindergarten and nursery staff will have increased 4.05%. In teaching preschool, primary, secondary and higher there will be an increase of the same magnitude, but in February.
The staff of hotels, restaurants and bars will have a nominal adjustment of 3% in January. This includes hotels, apart hotels, motels, inns, camps and bongalows, restaurants, barbecues, canteens, cafes, pubs and breweries. A similar setting will apply to free shops, sports organizations and mechanical workshops.
In trades of the construction There was already a salary correction last April, so the next adjustment will only be in that same month of 2022. The same occurs with the private banks that corrected in September and will do so again only in March.

Public wages
The Tripartite Superior Council decided last week the percentage of salary adjustment for Central Administration workers in 2022. The correction will be 7% from. This includes projected inflation for next year (5.8%), plus a component of partial recovery of the purchasing power lost in 2021, in this case 1.2%, according to the criteria established in the National Budget law.
