The Rover Curiosity captures what appears to be a “door” on Mars

For the moment, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), has not commented on this fact, but it is most likely that it is a fracture in the rock by an earthquake or some natural event.

On May 4, NASA’s InSight Mars probe recorded the largest recorded earthquake on another planet, with a scale of 5, in the unit that is recorded on earth.

Since 2018, when the probe arrived at the red planet, there have been recorded approximately 1,313 earthquakesthe previous record was held by a move of approximately 4.4.

This may be one of the reasons how this “door” was formed, while there are other speculations that it may be a psychological phenomenon, called memory-prediction, in which the computer engineer, Jeff Hawkins, says that the human brain can perceive an uncertain image with a recognizable shape.

We will have to wait for some official response, to find out if we are facing an extraterrestrial test or it is simply a rock with a crack, meanwhile more images sent by Curiosity will continue to be known, which brings us closer to knowing our neighboring planets better.
