The General Legislation Commission of the Chamber of Deputies will continue this afternoon with the consultation round on the reform of the rental law, where tenant associations and real estate brokers will exhibitafter which a phase of searching for a parliamentary agreement will begin, which is focused on the extension of contracts and their updating.
Although the objective agreed between the parliamentary benches was to start the parliamentary debate today, last Friday the authorities of the commission -led by the legislator Cecilia Moreau- decided to carry out another day of consultations with the sectors involved in this market.
From 1:30 p.m., with the majority of face-to-face testimonies over the virtual ones, representatives of the Universidad Nacional Rosario will present; Inmobinet; Sarandí Consulting; the Undersecretary of Habitat of the Municipality of Rosario; the Corrientes Human Rights Network; the Civil Association of Argentine Tenants for a decent roof and the Amadeo Capital Humano-Chaco Foundation.
Speakers from the direction of the Master of Urban Economy of the Torcuato Di Tella University will also participate; from the Right to Housing Chair at the University of Avellaneda; of the deliberative council of Rosario; from the Making Foundation; of Urban Provocations-Faculty of Political Science-National University of Rosario and the Research Institute for Territorial Development and Human Habitat-National University of the Northeast/Conicet.
Lastly, representatives of UVA Mortgages will attend; of the San Juan Tenants Association; from the universities of Lanús and San Martín; of the Tenants Assembly of Tandil; Secretary Ademys and CTA Capital.
After concluding the informative meetings with the presentations of the associations of tenant entities, auctioneers, real estate chambers and members of Consumer Protection, the internal debate between the legislators will begin.
