The Minister of Transport, Guillermo Reyes, the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure, Constanza García, and the Director of Civil Aeronautics, Francisco Ospina, met with representatives of the airlines, Opain and IATA, to finalize this monthly dialogue space with the sector and draw the industry roadmap, headed in the operation of airports and improve the service provided to users.

Among the topics that were discussed was the capacity study that is being carried out at the El Dorado Airport, with respect to which, with Opain, they seek to analyze and maximize the operational capacity of the terminal, as well as the use of the slots.
Other topics that were discussed were the current situation of the country’s main airports, their expansion and improvement projects, and the growing passenger traffic.

On the other hand, reference was also made to the actions that need to be implemented for the next opening of the border that guarantee flights between Colombia and Venezuela, after President Gustavo Petro Urrego announced that it will reopen on September 26.

Minister Reyes highlighted that “we are open to listening to all stakeholders and working together to have an efficient operation that benefits everyone”.
