“We will continue on this path. Do not underestimate people believing that four enlightened can choose the candidate that represents all the radicals of the province to compete for the governorship”, Carousso said.
He maintained that the intention “is for radicals and independents to vote, and for all those leaders who feel they have the merits to be candidates, offer themselves to the citizenry in full freedom and without limitations.”
Likewise, he analyzed that “electoral setups and accommodations have resulted in painful failures, which brought pain and frustration to society” and warned that “it would be extremely serious if those who hold positions of responsibility in our party try to prevent the holding elections for fear of losing”.
The legislator, and current Secretary General of the Provincial Committee of the UCR, also said that “There are already UCR committees that have decided to go to open internal meetings to define candidates, as is the case of Bahía Blanca.”
Carusso announced that in the first week of March they will present the signatures to the Province Committee with the request.
