The Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Martin Soriaconsidered this Thursday that the judges of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation “do not understand needs and do not believe in expanding rights”coming out at the crossroads of the statements made by the vice president of the highest court, Carlos Rosenkranzt, against “populism” during a dissertation in Chile.
“Privileged judges, who speak, think and apply the law from their own privileges. This is the Court that some defend. They do not understand needs and do not believe in expanding rights, ”Soria wrote on her Twitter account.
Then, the Minister of Justice lashed out: “Unless the needs and rights are those of their ex? Clarin patterns”. Soria accompanied his message with a photo of the news about Rosenkrantz’s sayings, which was published by the portal of that newspaper.

The controversy arose after Rosenkrantz considered that “there cannot be a right behind every need because there are not enough resources to satisfy all needs.”
“Unless we restrict what we understand by necessity or understand by right to aspirations that are not legally enforceable,” said the magistrate.
Thus, the minister of the highest court paraphrased Eva Perón, who stated that “behind every need there is a right”one of the founding slogans of the movement founded by her husband, Juan Domingo Perón, constitutional president of Argentina three times.
Rosenkranzt’s statements were made within the framework of a conference entitled ‘Justice, Law and Populism in Latin America’, organized by the University of Chile.
Cerruti: “Rosenkrantz expressed the heart of the liberal doctrine”
“We are not surprised. The Vice President of the Court expresses the heart of the liberal doctrine,” said the spokesperson for the Presidency, Gabriela Cerruti, referring to Rosenkrantz’s remarks at the University of Chile.
“Turning an emblematic phrase of Eva Perón that for the Peronist movement and for the majority of Argentines, Rozenkranzt expresses what is a desire of all to live a full life and seek happiness as each one wants to seek it with the support of the State to have the basic needs satisfied”, Cerruti remarked.
Tailhade: “Rosenkrantz confirmed that he represents only a few”
The national deputy for the Front of All, Rodolfo Tailhade, considered that the statements of the minister of the Supreme Court confirm that the judge entered that body to “represent only a few”and also argued that the magistrate’s statements “are political”
“With his words, he is disqualifying a political force. Some disciplinary process should be carried out against Rosenkrantz because he is getting involved in politics and it is something that does not correspond based on the position he occupies,” Tailhade told Radio 10.

Various FdT leaders agreed that the magistrate “obeys concentrated power” and recalled that his appointment to the highest court was made through a decree by former President Mauricio Macri, something that contradicts the principles enshrined in the National Constitution.
Although the meeting took place on Thursday of last week, the statements of the Supreme Court judge emerged in the last hours.
For the deputy, “it is not by chance” the judge’s reference to Eva Perón’s speechbecause, with this, he seeks to “advance” that he is not going to take into account any measure that is promoted from Peronism.
Along these lines, Tailhade believed that, due to these kinds of facts, it is “fundamental” to move forward with an initiative that expands the composition of the country’s highest court and called for “discussing the best possible project.”

The general secretary of Suteba, Roberto Baradel, said “he was not surprised” by the said Carlos Rosenkrantz, considering that “he constantly tries to revile what the expansion of rights means for our people. In that sense, Baradel analyzed that “we already know how it fails and how it will fail” and added that “if the right of a citizen is in dispute before the privilege of a powerful person, he will rule in favor of the powerful.”
“This judge is not going to impart justice. He comes to defend class interests and privileges. It would be very good if the government announced today the expansion of the members of the Court and a profound judicial reform,” he stressed.
