Santo Domingo. This coming Monday, March 20, the replacement of the card of 90 thousand beneficiaries of the program will begin improve yourself. This will go from the use of magnetic stripe to a new plastic with an electronic chip, announced the Social Subsidies Administrator (Adess).
The Adess indicated that the families participating in the Supérate program residing in the Santo Domingo Este, Norte and Oeste municipalities, of the Santo Domingo province, will be able to receive a new card. This will be during a simultaneous operation that will last until Monday, April 3 of this year.
This operation will cover the different strategically selected points. It will be so that the inhabitants of each neighborhood or sector can move without problems to the delivery place that is closest to them.
The general director of Adess, Catalino (Freddy) Correa Hiciano, explained that with the change from band cards to chip cards, more security to the means of payment. With this, families living in poverty and social vulnerability receive funds that the Government allocates for their integral development.
Correa also maintained that the cardholders of the Supérate program who will receive the plastic change will be previously summoned. He also indicated that the initial goal of 90,000 beneficiaries will be extended to each of the communities in the national territory. This until covering a million 550 thousand participants.
The entity reported that after receiving their new personalized card, the beneficiaries who attended the operation will be able to consume with their new plastic. This will be from April 4, in businesses affiliated with the Social Supply Network (RAS).
