Today started the process of regularization of the benches lotteries announced by the Government and will conclude next Monday, April 25.
This was reported by the provisional and honorary director of the Directorate of Casinos and Games of Chance of the TreasuryTeófilo Tabar Mazur (Quico), who said that the necessary agreements and measures have already been established for the regularizationwhich will be valid for 34 days from today.
Tabar Mazur is also coordinator of the Council of regularization and Monitoring of Lottery Banks (CRB), created to coordinate and monitor the provisions of decree 63-22 that declares the legalization of these juice establishments throughout the national territory, issued on February 9, to be of national interest.

Tabar explains that the owners of these businesses will have to present, with a sworn declaration, the list of the banks they own and if they comply with the tax payments to the DGII, as well as provide the documents that guarantee the veracity of the information to support the inspection to which they will be subjected.
At the end of the information delivery period, the statement states, the “Council will determine and recommend the applicable sanctions, both to those who lied in their statements, and to those who did not comply with that requirement.”
In a press release, Tabar Mazur warns the owners of several of these establishments that the applicable sanctions “may affect all of their banks.”
The CRB has created a team to advise companies that need it, made up of personnel from the Treasury, DGII, the Directorate of Casinos and National lottery and representatives of the associations that represent this sector, added Tabar Mazur. Assistance will be offered in person or electronically.
It ensures that “measures will be adopted against the owners of banks or points of sale that intend to take advantage of this process of regularization to install new benches”; and non-compliance with the provisions “could include definitive closure of benches, as well as the indefinite suspension of the draws that are carried out.”
Resolution 061-2022 of the Treasurywhich establishes the guidelines and requirements for the process of regularizationincludes the affiliates of the National Federation of Lottery Banks (Fenabanca), the concessionaires of lotteries electronic and independent banks.
Other requirements
Natural or legal persons “who provide development, design, maintenance, updating, operation or marketing services for pool terminal draws or any other game of chance” must register with the Treasury.
