After a first day of recruitment for the 2020 National Censuses, the National Institute of Statistics and Census (INEC), of the Comptroller General of the Republic, announced the reopening of the digital registration platform for enumerators and supervisors, which will be available from September 1 to 15, 2022.
“We want to communicate to the public that due to the large number of calls received and visits to our facilities, after the announcement of the Census date, the platform will be reopened for 15 days, to allow people who could not register before the It closes on May 31 last, they can do it now, ”said Hilda Martínez, National Sociodemographic Deputy Director of the INEC.
At this time the registered database has about 94,500 registered people. Once the new registration period ends, the process of filtering and analyzing the profiles for the positions of enumerators and supervisors will begin.
All applicants to work in the National Census as supervisors and enumerators must meet the following requirements:
- Age 18 to 55 years
- Panamanian nationality
- Domain and management of cell phone and tablet
- Experience in censuses and surveys, to value
- Dynamic, proactive, with good physical and mental health
- For enumerators: complete high school, essential
- For supervisor: university level, first year of bachelor’s/technical degree or more
Martínez also highlighted that the INEC will be contacting by email, starting on November 15, the applicants who have been shortlisted from the registration database, so that they can participate in the training process, in the month of December.
For the National Censuses, which will take place from January 8 to March 4, 2023, around 7,000 enumerators and 2,000 supervisors will be recruited, who will have to cover the 136 census regions of the country. A monthly economic recognition of B/. 700.00 balboas to the enumerators and B/. 850.00 balboas to the supervisors, for two months.
