Much of the central and eastern part of the country begins this Friday a new day of suffocating heat with highs that in some cases will reach 37 degrees, for which the National Meteorological Service (SMN) maintains the red alert for extreme temperatures “very dangerous” for the city of Buenos Aires, La Plata and other municipalities in the Buenos Aires suburbs.

The national body also issued orange alerts for the northeast of the province of Buenos Aires and the west of Entre Ríos, while yellow level warnings continue for towns in the provinces of Buenos Aires, Entre Ríos, Corrientes, Misiones, Santa Fe, Córdoba, Santiago del Estero and Salta .

Due to the intensity of the heat that has not ceased for more than a week, the areas affected by red alert are the city of Buenos Aires and the Buenos Aires cities of La Plata, Berisso, Ensenada, Brandsen, Cañuelas, Magdalena, San Vicente, Esteban Echeverría , Ezeiza, La Matanza and Merlo with maximum temperatures that will oscillate between 34 and 37 degrees, although higher thermal sensation marks are expected.

The red level is the maximum alert set by the meteorological agency and indicates that the temperatures in that area can be “very dangerous and affect all people, even the healthy ones”, so it is recommended to increase water consumption and not expose yourself to the sun excessively or in central hours (between 10 and 16).
