The recovery of Olimpia has a complicated stumbling block

After losing to the Chilean Selknam and losing the third position in the standings, Olimpia Lions will seek this Friday to begin their recovery in the American Rugby Super League, for which they will have to overcome a difficult obstacle: the Jaguares XV.

After two defeats in the first round of the tournament, the Argentines got back on their feet and have now chained two consecutive victories that allowed them to maintain second place in the table.

Candidates to defend the title, those led by Carlos Fernández Lobbe have 21 points and are three behind the Uruguayan Peñarol, another of the contenders to lift the trophy.
With Gerónimo Prisciantelli as the team’s top scorer and as one of the main figures, Jaguares XV will take to the field at Montevideo’s Charrúa stadium to face a squad that will try to get back on the road to victory.

For this, the Paraguayans will rely on the game of Luis Quinteros, who until now has stood out for his good numbers in tackles, as well as the offensive power of Diego Walter.
In another of the duels of the day, the leader Peñarol will face the Colombian Cafeteros Pro with the mission of adding his fourth consecutive victory.

Led by Manuel Ardao, the athlete who recovered the most balls throughout the tournament, the venue will also bet on the good work of fly-half Felipe Etcheverry.
His rival, meanwhile, will look for a victory to keep his options clear to advance to the final phase.
Finally, driven by their great victory over Olimpia, Selknam will try to celebrate again, this time against Cobras Brasil XV, who for the moment could not win any of the six games they played.

With Francisco Urroz, the tournament’s top scorer, among its starters, the team led by Nicolás Bruzzone will try to win so as not to lose track of Jaguares XV, the team they will face on the next day.
