The Head of Government of Mexico City informs that, in accordance with the Call published in the Official Gazette on November 19 of this year, the reception of applications to form the Selection Committee that will be responsible for implementing the process for select the shortlist that will be sent to the Congress of Mexico City in order to designate the head of the Institute of Democratic and Prospective Planning of Mexico City.
39 applications were received from universities, professional associations, civil society organizations and chambers related to planning matters. During the period from November 20 to December 4, the period established by the call to receive applications, the following candidatures were presented:

This Head of Government, in compliance with the call and the Law of the Development Planning System of Mexico City, will send to Congress the names of ten nominated people. Of these, the Legislative Branch of the City will elect, by a majority of two-thirds of the members present, five.
The Government of Mexico City reaffirms its commitment and conviction to strengthen the Institute of Democratic and Prospective Planning, an institution with a constitutional mandate of great relevance to ensure that Mexico City continues to be a metropolis that protects and guarantees the human rights of those who inhabit or pass through it.
