The Secretary of Industry and Productive Development, José Ignacio De Mendiguren, said this Thursday that the real economy “is getting back on its feet” and highlighted the role of entrepreneurs in productive development, by leading the Argentine Entrepreneurship 2022 event, which brought together the main actors of the national entrepreneurial network.
“I am optimistic about Argentina’s prospects and I applaud that there are entrepreneurs from all over the country because they are the representatives of a productive Argentina that responds to the real economy that is getting on its feet today,” said de Mendiguren.
He maintained that “this is demonstrated by the level of investment registered this year of 22% of GDP, is the highest since 1993and it is all a fact”.
“The success of nations is based on the entrepreneurial spirit, the attitude of its people and their ability to create and generate good ideas. That is the debate at a global level and here Argentines must define how we are going to exploit our natural resources and apply our creativity to make a qualitative leap in development,” he added.
He remarked that “Entrepreneurship is essential for the development project of a nation and, in this sense, our ministry made the political decision to promote the development of SMEs and small businesses”.
In turn, the Undersecretary for Entrepreneurial Development, Natalia Del Cogliano, stated: “We work every day to design policies that result in more entrepreneurship and that tomorrow the companies will be the generators of work, exports and development for their communities”.

During the event, the “Argentine Entrepreneurship 2022” contest was held, of which 23 enterprises from all over the country participated, nominated by the provincial governments and selected by the Undersecretariat for Entrepreneurial Development.
The “Argentine Entrepreneurship 2022” award went to the Food4You project, a biotechnology platform from Salta that designs and optimizes unique bacterial combinations to improve the technological, nutritional and functional properties of plant-based foods through precision fermentation.
“This recognition is inspiring to continue working. Working in the North is difficult, but not impossible. It is a pride to take it to Salta and also accompany and train governments in nutritional technology issues. I am extremely excited and surprised,” said Food4You developer Antonieta Rodríguez de Olmos.
