The president of the Venezuelan Chamber of the Broadcasting Industry (CVIR), Iván Messori, affirmed that the positive behavior of the audience in the last two years is due to the credibility and reliability that the radio medium continues to arouse.
A study carried out by the Consultores 21 form in the first quarter of 2022 revealed that radio is one of the most preferred means of communication for citizens. In this sense, the study indicated that 66% of those surveyed expressed their preference for the medium in their homes.
This study included a consultation on the situation on the radio in Venezuela, which was carried out through the impressions of some two thousand people throughout the country and whose data was collected in the study called “Access to media in Venezuela”, produced by Consultants 21.

In the case of the youngest considered in the study, aged between 18 and 24 years old, it was shown that a 59% preference for the radio. In this sense, Messori highlighted the importance of the search for entertainment and company.
In the case of radio users by region, it was determined that the Andes-Llanos region was where the consumption of content and information through this medium was most evident, averaging 74% inclination; almost 10% above the average obtained throughout the country; followed by the Oriente region, with 73%.
In this sense, the president of the CVIR explains that in these areas the data coverage is scarce and, therefore, the only way they have to find out what is happening is through the radio. “It reaches where other media cannot reach.”
