The Purple Party called this Tuesday, January 22, the internal elections to carry out the election process of the pre-candidates with a view to the regional and municipal elections that will take place in October 2022.
The political group specified that, according to the schedule already established, May 15 will be the internal election of the candidates who will seek to become regional governors, lieutenant governors, councillors, mayors and aldermen.
The results of the elections in the Purple Party will be known on June 7 of this year, four months before the regional and municipal elections.

After the formal start with the call for the internal elections, the Purple Party will inform the ONPE on January 25 and will have a maximum term until March 25 of this year to approve the list of affiliates before the National Elections Jury ( JNE).
“The internal election will take place under the modality of universal, free, voluntary, direct and secret vote”, reported the political group that presented Julio Guzmán as a presidential candidate in 2021 and that currently has three congressmen: Susel Paredes, Edward Málaga and Flor Pablo.
It should be remembered that on December 30, 2021, the Purple Party elected its new president, Luis Durán, who surpassed his opponent, the militant Narescka Culqui, in the internal elections.
