After videos of a teacher from the Isabel Herrera de Obaldía Professional School circulated, where she allegedly verbally and psychologically mistreated her student, the Specialized Family Section of the Metropolitan Area began an investigation.
According to the Public Ministry, although the events were recorded on May 17, it was not until November 11, 2022 when the judicial authorities were informed of this case.
“Within this investigation, other procedures are carried out informally, in order to find out the possible existence of more victims, minors, of mistreatment by teachers in this school,” said the Public Ministry.
It should be noted that officials from the Ombudsman’s Office carried out an inspection on the campus and spoke with the director of the Educational Center to recommend that the student (victim), who is receiving classes by modules, return to the classrooms to finish the school year. The student is finishing her last year of studies.
