In the midst of a context of suspicion and supervision of public entities for questionable expenses, the National Prosecutor’s Office acquired six Audi brand vehicles of the year for more than a million soles. The cars will be for the exclusive use of the company. Board of Supreme Prosecutors, highest instance of the Public Ministry made up of Patricia Benavides (President and Prosecutor of the Nation), Pablo Sanchez, Zoraida Avalos, Delia Espinoza (representative before the JNE) and Juan Villana.
The tender responds to the fact that, between September and December 2021, 37 vehicles from the Lima Centro fiscal district were deregistered under the cause of onerous maintenance or repair. Among these vehicles were four assigned to the Supreme Prosecutors, one at the General Management of the Public Ministry and one at Coordination and Liaison Office of the Anti-Drug Prosecutors.
“Considering the investiture held by the supreme prosecutors that make up the Board of Supreme Prosecutors, it is recommended that the vehicles to be purchased be of the medium-high range category,” It is read in the bases of the call for simplified awarding 001-2023-MP-FN.

According to these bases, the acquisition of medium-high range cars will help “improve the quality of access to justice for citizens.”
The hiring
Only one offer would be presented, that of the company Euroshop SA: six Audi A4 Corporate 35 TFSI S Tronic MY 2023 cars for a price of 1,028,160 soles, an amount that exceeded the money that the Public Ministry planned to allocate from its budget at 26,580 soles.
