The Regional Prosecutor’s Office of Valparaíso opened an ex officio investigation for the closure of accesses in the commune of Puchuncaví, ordered by the mayor Mark Morales (RN) as a protest against the “inaction” of the Government in matters of security, according to what he denounced.

“We believe that it is essential that conditions improve and more police resources for our communes. We are risking the lives of our neighbors, because crime rates have increased in an incredible way in our commune and neighboring communes,” said the mayor .
The Minister of the Interior, Carolina Toha, questioned the mayor’s action. “Closing the accesses is not the way to go, it generates additional problems for the community that is affected by security issues,” he said.
Likewise, the head of the Interior invited Mayor Morales to La Moneda to talk about security matters.
