President Castillo’s appointments to hire personnel in the Government Palace are being investigated by the First Provincial Corporate Prosecutor’s Office Specialized in Crimes of Corruption of Lima Officials for allegedly incompatible negotiation.
On December 10, 2021, the prosecutor Rosario Isabel Quico Palomino sent a letter to the Undersecretary General of the Presidential Office to request a report on the hiring of personnel in the Government Palace in the last 10 years, according to a Sunday report.
What is sought to know is the procedure for the appointment of personnel in communication services for the writing and review of content on social networks during the recent decade.
The request of the prosecutor Quico Palomino aims to clarify the investigation carried out against Andrés Calle Mezares and Analí Carrión Díaz, as alleged perpetrators, in addition to Franco Pomalaya Neyra, José Luis Cristóbal Quispe and Gian Baca Gonzáles, as alleged accomplices, of the crimes against public administration to the detriment of the State in the form of collusion or incompatible negotiation.
On the other hand, the contracts questioned by the prosecution are those of Franco Pomalaya, who works as a communications assistant in the Presidential Office, and José Luis Cristóbal Quispe, who appears as an official in the General Undersecretary of the Presidential Office. Gian Baca Gonzáles’s contract also appears.
In addition, the hypothesis of the Public Ministry is that the alleged perpetrators of the crimes committed would be Andrés Calle Mezares and Analí Carrión Díaz, and that Pomalaya, Cristóbal and Baca would have been hired despite not having the requirements to hold the position.
