Inclusion. The Public ministry included to the head of the Council of Ministers, Aníbal Torresand the Minister of Justice, Felix Cheroin the preliminary investigation for the alleged crime of criminal organization.
Indeed, through its social networks, the National Prosecutor, Patricia Benavides, decided to include both members of the ministerial cabinet to expand the preliminary investigation corresponding to fiscal folder n° 124-2022, in which the President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo, has been investigated for personal cover-up and criminal organization.
It is worth mentioning that the inclusion of Felix Chero Y Hannibal Torres occurs after the rights protection hearing held by Judge Juan Carlos Checkley after a request from the president’s defense against the Prosecutor’s Office for allegedly having violated the confidentiality of information in the crime of obstruction after statements by former Interior Minister Mariano González.
