The investigations to clarify the disappearance of Juan José Dorado Gonzáles continue, but now there are more doubts. After not finding clues at the Cupesí aerodrome, in the Chiquitos province, the Prosecutor’s Office doubts that the Cessna 206 plane, with license plate CP-3172, landed here.

This Wednesday, the agents of the Special Force to Fight Crime (Felcc) and the prosecutor Winsor Ortiz, arrived at the Cupesí property, located between the communities of Pozo del Tigre and Las Tunas, where operates a private aerodrome of the same name that is authorized by the General Directorate of Civil Aeronautics (DGAC).

The first thing that prosecutor Ortiz verified was that the track works normally, due to the good condition in which the tracks of the tires of the aircraft that landed in the place are already found.

The plane in which Juan José Dorado was transported

“Following the investigative actions, it was possible to verify the operability of the runway in order to determine the chronology according to the investigations we are carrying out. This is how the corresponding analysis is being carried out,” said the representative of the Public Ministry to the media.

After touring the place a building adjoining the Cupesí hacienda was raided. Some testimonies collected from community members show that the aerodrome is used by some aircraft, but they do not know if the plane with registration number CP-3172 landed.

According to reports from the DGAC and Bolivian Air Navigation and Airports (Naabol), the plane piloted by Ernesto Cortes Tomas, which transported Juan José Dorado, left hangar 101 of El Trompillo airport on the morning of July 7 to go to the Cupesí aerodrome, in the Chiquitos province.

In addition, the DGAC and Naabol authorities reported last week that, according to their flight planthe aircraft was to return that same day to Santa Cruzbut did not do so until the following day (July 8), in the afternoon.

However, that information was discarded by prosecutor Margot Vargas, who on Friday raided hangar 101 and verified that the plane CP-3172 did not return to El Trompillo.

Now the Prosecutor’s Office and the Police, handle the hypothesis that the aircraft did not land on the Cupesí property, because the pilot lost communication with the control tower minutes before arriving at this location 13 days ago.
