The deputy prosecutor Luis Zúñiga of the Sixth Office of the First Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office of Lima examines, this Tuesday, July 5, the registry of visits to the Government Palace, within the framework of the investigation for the alleged crime of influence peddling against Yenifer Paredes Navarro. This occurs due to the visits he received from Hugo Espino Lucana, legal representative of the company JJM Espino Engineering & Construction SACwhich was awarded a work for S/ 3,876,061.73 in the month of March.
At the same time, prosecutor Javier Cuadros carried out another diligence at the headquarters of the Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation for the sanitation project in the town center of La Succhadistrict of San Miguel, in Cajamarca.
According to information accessed by La República, on August 31, 2021, the businessman Hugo Espino visited Yenifer Paredes. His date with the sister of the first lady and sister-in-law of the president peter castle lasted up to three hours. The following month, on September 3, they met again in a meeting that lasted only an hour.
Previously, Espino had met with Lilia Paredes for more than five hours, on August 8, 2021. His entry was at 3.20 pm and ended at 9.09 pm

The other meetings in the House of Pizarro, according to the Presidency registry, took place on October 6 and 10, although, this time, Espino did not meet with Yenifer or the first lady, but with the general undersecretary for more than nine and three hours, respectively.

The investigation carried out by the Public Ministry against Yenifer Paredes responds to the alleged crime of influence peddling. The sister of the first appeared in a video wearing a vest from Hugo Espino’s company, on September 16, 2021.
