The request was made by the Anti-Drug Trafficking Prosecutor’s Office through the International Affairs Prosecutor’s Office, to cooperate with the investigations opened in our country against Marcet and Insfrán, after the operation “A Ultranza py”.
Both people are charged and have a pending arrest warrant since last February. Marcet fled to the United Arab Emirates as it was known and has Paraguayan, Uruguayan and Bolivian passports. In the case of “Tío Rico”, brother of Pastor José Insfrán, also a fugitive, when the arrests began, both fled.
Miguel Ángel Insfrán is accused of being the leader of the organization that trafficked drugs and laundered money in different companies, but almost eight months after the operation there is no information on his whereabouts.
It is believed that these people also opened companies in several South American countries and also in Belgium, to launder drug money and that is why this international cooperation is now being requested.
“A Ultranza py” disrupted a large trafficking and money laundering network in Paraguay, where 31 people who are currently in prison and another 19 are on the run and have an arrest warrant arrested.
