The ban on hereditary positions means that relatives and spouses of deceased state employees will no longer be able to fill their jobs as replacements. This practice, which allowed relatives of deceased or retired employees to access their positions, has been seen as an illogical privilege that placed public employees above the rest of Argentina’s workers.
