The Teatro El Público group is staging “La Zapatera Prodigiosa”, a version of the well-known play by the Spanish playwright Federico García Lorca.
At its headquarters, the Teatro Trianón, you can enjoy this performance on weekends, at 8:30 pm on Fridays and Saturdays and 5:00 pm on Sundays.
According to the Cuban press, the production by Carlos Díaz “respects Lorca’s essence, while updating the discourse with multiple cultural references, very much in the style of the poetics of the director and his company.”
The proposal by El Público, which was born as a graduation exercise for the young performers a few months ago, has remained on the billboard of the Cuban group directed by Díaz and continues to be very well received by spectators.
