A judicial process for the crimes of breach of duty and uneconomic conduct was opened against the former minister, Jerjes Justiniano Atalá, who left the country and is in Brazil where he traveled to undergo medical examinations, confirmed his father, Jerjes Justiniano Talavera.
“My son left on February 1 or 2 and the notification went out yesterdayWhat does it mean then, that my son knew absolutely nothing; my son went abroad for health reasons. My son suffered a heart attack in June or July of last year and they operated on him as an emergency,” explained Justiniano Talavera through a telephone contact.
Xerxes Justinian Atala served as Minister of the Presidency, in the government of Jeanine Áñez, for a period of three weeks. He was the protagonist of the entire pacification process in the country since Áñez was sworn in. Luis Fernando Camacho’s personal lawyer, he was dismissed accused of manipulating justice.
Justiniano’s father stated that his son awaits the results of the evaluation that was carried out in Brazil and that, I probably have to travel to the United States to complete your treatment.
“My son has not left (running away), please; I advised him, speaking with my son, not to come. How is he going to trust a justice that is rotten, corrupt, servile and totally captured by political power. Political power is using justice as a repressive means to persecute opponents, it does not persecute criminals”, questioned the former deputy for the PS-1 and later ambassador of Evo Morales in Brazil in 2012.
Later he also stated that his son told him that he would return as soon as he was in adequate health conditions. He also revealed that they presented excuses to give statements to the prosecutor, since he was absent from the country for health reasons.
Justiniano Atalá is also a lawyer for the former mayor, Angélica Sosa and he spoke with EL DEBER from his destination and confirmed that he continues as a legal sponsor of the ex-authority. He also explained the legal steps in the new process that the Government presented against Sosa.
