The Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) will hold a national convention on the 30th in which they will present the reform of that party’s statutes.
The information was released by the president of that party, José Ignacio Paliza, who stated that with these changes they adjust that political organization to the new times. “We will seek to open the party more to new supporters.”
Participating in the meeting of the executive leadership of the PRM were former president Hipólito Mejía, the general secretary of that party and mayor of the National District, Carolina Mejía, the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Alfredo Pacheco, among other senior leaders of that political organization.
Paliza did not want to offer details about the changes made to the party statutes, which could include the possibility of re-applying to President Luis Abinader, who did not attend the meeting, although his attendance had been announced.
