The Prime Minister of Belize, John Briceño, arrives in the country

This Friday, the Prime Minister of Belize, John Briceño, arrived in Venezuela to fulfill a work agenda in the country.

The Prime Minister was received by Foreign Minister Carlos Faria and by the Deputy Minister for Latin America and the Caribbean of the Foreign Ministry, Rander Peña Ramírez, at the Maiquetía International Airport, in La Guaira.

In this sense, the Foreign Minister expressed his words of welcome to President Briceño, on behalf of President Nicolás Maduro and the Venezuelan people: “We are pleased to receive, on behalf of President @NicolasMaduro to the Prime Minister of Belize, John Briceño with the intention of maintaining a productive work agenda, of common interest, that allows us to continue advancing together towards a path of well-being for our peoples,” he said on his Twitter account.

Briceño was elected as prime minister in November 2020, reports the AVN portal.

The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Immigration of Belize, Easton Courtenay, was already in the country, who already held a meeting with the Executive Vice President of the Republic, delcy rodriguez.

Venezuela and Belize have more than 30 years of bilateral relations, where cooperation agreements have been signed, especially in cultural and educational matters.
