The price of gasoline hits a record in the United States

Prices that in the state of California reach up to 5,841 dollars per gallon or 1,543 dollars per liter, while in regions such as Georgia a liter of gasoline costs 1.03 dollars.

The price of fuel reached 4 dollars per gallon in March, surpassing the highest record set so far dating back to July 2008.

Rampant inflation and the Russian invasion of Ukraine have pushed up gasoline prices in the United States, in parallel with the rise in the price of Texas Intermediate Oil (WTI), which has been suffering from great volatility for months.

According to AAA, the American consumer today is paying an average of $1,407 per gallon more than a year ago, when 3,785 liters cost $2,967.
