President Andrés Manuel López Obrador yesterday began a work tour of the southeast of the country, where he will supervise the progress of the Mayan Train works, including section 5, between Playa del Carmen and Tulum, whose work had been suspended by order of a judge, but it was declared a work of national security.
The president explained in his morning conference that his visit would start in Villahermosa, from where he would go to Palenque to supervise section 1 of the Mayan Train.
He explained that later he would go to Escárcega, Campeche, where section 2 is being built, and will end the day in Mérida, after traveling sections 3 and 4.
This Saturday will be in section 5, where work is being done and declared as national security work
Lopez Obrador said.
Last week, and in view of the injunctions that have been filed against it, the federal government declared the Mayan Train a national security project, which will guarantee that no legal recourse will stop it.
On Sunday he will be in Cancun, where he will supervise the construction work of the Nichupté vehicular bridge, which will pass over the lagoon of the same name and which will connect one end of the hotel zone to Luis Donaldo Colosio avenue, as well as the resurfacing of this last road. among other works.
