President Alberto Fernández questioned this Wednesday the ruling of the Federal Chamber of Buenos Aires that granted the release of the four members of the Federal Revolution detained in the framework of the case in which they are being investigated for alleged incitement to collective violence.

Fernández wrote on his Twitter account that “once again, Chamber I of the Federal Chamber of Comodoro Py, made up of two magistrates who occupy their seats in a manner contrary to the Constitution, intervenes in a case of institutional relevance.”

The president referred that “it seems that far from wanting to clarify the fact and reach their highest officials, they are determined to cover up the obvious: that a criminal gang with ramifications and dark financing attempted against the life of the Vice President of the Nation”, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner.

Fernández emphasized that “judges Leopoldo Bruglia and Pablo Bertuzzi should only be in the courts for which they competed.”

“Only an illegal maneuver (which is an open secret) by former President Mauricio Macri, who orders the Counselors of the Judiciary who respond to him to block the contest to designate those who should legitimately occupy the vacancies that the aforementioned judges usurp today, makes possible this arbitrariness”, expanded the Head of State.

According to Fernández, “the Supreme Court must intervene to enforce its own ruling,” and concluded: “I hope it has the same speed it had to impose its president as head of the Council of the Judiciary.”

Chamber I of the Buenos Aires Federal Chamber, made up of Mariano Llorens, Bruglia and Bertuzzi, ordered the release of Jonathan Morel, Leonardo Sosa, Gastón Guerra and Sabrina Basile on Tuesdayfour members of the Federal Revolution who since May of this year participated in demonstrations or spread violent slogans.

The judges of Chamber I of the court of appeals maintained that there are no elements to support that their freedom could jeopardize the judicial investigation for which they were already investigated.

Through four rulings, one for each defendant, the cameramen revoked the decision of the federal judge handling the case, Marcelo Martínez de Giorgiwho had refused to release them because he considered that they could hinder the course of the case.

The four members of the Federal Revolution had been detained since last October 20 by order of Judge Martínez de Giorgi, at the request of the prosecutor Gerardo Pollicita.

“We believe it is necessary to apply some measure that ensures their subjection to the process, and the a quo (the judge) must select those restrictions that it considers pertinent in accordance with the provisions of current procedural regulations, always ensuring that their imposition does not make the right illusory. granted”, maintained the maids.

The measures ordered by the judge to guarantee the subjection of the defendants to the process could range from an order to appear in court with a certain frequency or the retention of their passports, among others, to the placement of an electronic ankle bracelet with GPS.

The prosecutor’s office that investigates the members of the Federal Revolution considered that a “criminal scheme” was set up to “impose” ideas and “combat those of others by force and fear.”and that this sowed an escalation of “violence and hatred” in society, whose “most transcendental act” turned out to be the attempted murder of the Vice President, last September 1 in front of her home on Juncal and Uruguay streets, in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Recoleta.

However, the judge investigating the attack, María Eugenia Capucheti, and her superiors consider that there is no connection between the two files and continue to process them separately.

Morel and Basile rejected any type of link with the attempted murder against Fernández de Kirchner when requesting his release, and the defenses of both exposed in hearings before the Federal Chamber of Buenos Aires, while Sosa and Guerra presented briefs in which they also requested to be released. , at the same time that they extended their investigative statements from prison and denied the accusations against them.

For her part, the Vice President’s complaint was also presented in writing to demand that the four referents of the Federal Revolution be refused release.
