The president of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), ednaldo rodriguesaffirmed this Tuesday that he still maintains the intention of hiring the Italian Carlo Ancelotti for the position of Brazilian coach.
Ancelotti, the ‘Plan A’
“We made a plan, that ‘Plan A’ is the one you know, Ancelotti, and as they say in the ‘ring’ (boxing), I still haven’t thrown in the towel,” he said. Rodrigues to the press after the draw for the Brazil Cup.
The head of the CBF announced that he intends to maintain “some meetings in Europe” in the coming weeks to advance in the hiring of a selector, since it has been vacant since the cessation of tite after the World Cup in Qatar 2022.
Downplay the Italian’s statements
Rodrigues downplayed the statements of ancelotti assuring that it will continue for another year in the real Madrid and noted that “because of contracts, people are wary” of their claims.
He stressed that if after his meetings in Europe he is convinced that plan A is not possible, from there he will look for a “‘Plan B'”, although he promised to notify the press first.
