The President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, today received the Minister of State of Angola, Adao de Almeida, who is making an official visit to the island.
According to the official website of the Communist Party of Cuba, the parties exchanged on the historical nature of bilateral ties, as well as the current state of political, economic and collaboration relations.
The talks were also attended by ministerial representatives from different socio-economic sectors of both nations.
According to the work agenda scheduled until March 2, this meeting is added to the one already held by De Almeida with Ricardo Cabrisas, deputy prime minister of the Caribbean nation.
The visitor highlighted in that exchange that this official visit reinforces the historical ties of friendship, cooperation and brotherhood that unite the two countries.
The also head of the Civil House of the Presidency of Angola meant that among the new challenges of the African nation is the diversification of economic activity, for which he urged to open another page in the collaboration with the island.
The Minister of State arrived on the island on February 27 and that same day he paid tribute to the Cuban internationalists who participated in the independence struggles of their country.
According to the press, visits to places related to bilateral cooperation sectors linked to biotechnology and social matters stand out on his agenda.
