Last night the president of the Republic of Colombia arrived in the country, Ivan Duke Marquez, on a Colombian Air Force plane that arrived at Las Américas International Airport at 11:00 pm to exhaust a broad work schedule. He will leave today.
He was received by the Dominican Foreign Minister Robert Alvarez; the ambassador of the Republic of Colombia in the country, Daniel Cabrales; the ambassador of the Dominican Republic in Colombia, Julius Lambtogether with the ambassador and director of State Ceremonial and Protocol, Francisco Jose Cantizano Nadal.
The arrival of the flight was scheduled for 9:30 at night.
It is scheduled that today at 10:00 in the morning the Colombian president will meet with the president Louis Abinader at the National Palace, where he will receive the honors corresponding to his high investiture, with a Military Review Pass and a presentation of the delegations to the presidents of the Dominican Republic and the Republic of Colombia.

He will then attend a lunch where delegations from both nations will participate. Later the Colombian ruler and his official entourage will visit the Altar of the Fatherlandwhere they will lay a floral offering in honor of the Fathers of the Nation.
His agenda includes the signing of several agreements and the imposition of decorations and a press conference with President Luis Abinader at the National Palace.
At 3:00 in the afternoon, President Duque Márquez and his entourage will be received in the National Congress by the presidents of the Senate, Eduardo Estrella, and of the Chamber of Deputies, Alfred Pacheco.
At the end they will meet in the Assembly Hall of the National Assembly to discuss various issues.
The joint meeting by the two chambers that receives the president, Duque Márquez, was broadcast live and direct on all the digital platforms of the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies.
