President Alberto Fernández will inaugurate this Friday the expansion of the Biochemistry and Pharmacy Module of the National University of Misiones (UNAM)in the capital Posadas, official sources reported.
The event will take place at 11:30 a.m. and the Head of State will be accompanied by the Ministers of Education, Jaime Perczyk; and from Public Works, Gabriel Katopodis; and the local governor Oscar Herrera Ahuad.
These are the expansion works of the Faculty of Exact, Chemical and Natural Sciences of the UNAM, dwhere the Pharmacy and Biochemistry careers will work.
The new building is located within the Posadas Health Parkwhere the Ramón Madariaga School and Acute Hospital is located.
Dardo Marti, dean of the Faculty of Exact, Chemical and Natural Sciences, He told the press that “the building is called Biochemistry and Pharmacy but it also involves all the health careers and health services of the university, the place will be used by more than 2,000 students and 100 teachers and non-teachers.”
Regarding the place where the works were carried out, Martí indicated that “the land was donated in 2016 by the province and there the Nation financed the construction of the building, which has now been finished.”
“It is a building that has other technology, other connectivity and meets the necessary standards for the education provided by UNAM,” he explained.
As detailed by the dean, the building cIt has large, comfortable laboratories, with more open spaces and an auditorium for more than 200 people.
The new work, being inside the Health Park, “It will be multipurpose. Professionals seeking academic training or postgraduate courses will be able to use these spaces,” Martí said.
And he expanded: “In this new space we are thinking of courses in molecular biology, molecular genetics and diagnosis, and thus not go out and use other spaces in the university, as it is now.”
“In addition, we have more than 2,000 entrants, which is why we believe that the investment is more than justified,” he concluded.
