The extension of the maximum billing limits per category of the monotax will have a progressive orientation, which will privilege people registered in the lowest categories by allowing them to be able to bill up to 60% more.

In this sense, the rule provides for the exemption from the tax component for 1.7 million people registered in categories A and B who do not receive other income (for example, do not have a job in a dependency relationship or receive a pension).

On the other hand, tax relief also includes increased deductions of the self-employed workers who pay the Income Tax.

The law increased the special deduction from two to 2.5 times and, in this way, will reduce the tax burden, benefiting workers with incomes of up to eight million pesos, which account for 95% of the self-employed reached by the tax.

The norm, promoted by Massa, obtained legislative sanction unanimously the last Thursday in the Senate and in the same way it was approved on June 15 in the Lower House.
