President Alberto Fernández delivered this Thursday the 90,000 home of his management in the Salta town of La Pomawhere he insisted on the need to build a “federal” country and asked to get away from the “hub of politics” to listen to “the whisper of the people.”

At more than 3000 meters high above sea level, the head of state led the act of adjudication of 15 houses of the Habitar Comunidad program, created to improve access to housing for the rural population and indigenous peoples, according to official sources.

The activity was carried out with an imposing frame of the hills that are part of the Calchaquíes Valleys and Eulogia Tapia, a resident of the place immortalized in the verses of the zamba “La Pomeña”, participated in the song.

The governor said that there is still “Argentina full of privileges and subsidies that are in the center of the country and Argentina full of needs and injustices that is the north, deep and forgotten of the homeland”.

“I ask you, Mr. President, to let us continue working to reverse these asymmetries, in reversing those injustices, for which not only will each of the people of Salta, Catamarca, Jujeños and Tucumans thank you, but also history”, he pointed out.

The works

In La Poma, in the north of the Calchaquíes Valleys, the first 15 Habitar Comunidad homes were deliveredout of a total of 45 in execution in Salta, with an investment of more than 114 million pesos.

These are the first houses delivered in the country by this Program created in 2021 for community strengthening and rooting of rural populations and indigenous peoples, through access to housing and a decent environmentally sustainable habitat.

With an investment of more than 2,870 million pesosHabitar Comunidad currently has 436 homes under construction in 24 projects in the provinces of Buenos Aires, Catamarca, Chaco, Chubut, Entre Ríos, Formosa, Jujuy, La Rioja, Misiones, Neuquén, Salta, Santiago del Estero and Tucumán.

In total, in the province of Salta there are so far 8,067 housing solutions delivered and in execution by the current national government, with an investment of 64,285 million pesos.

Of this total, 3,532 housing solutions have already been delivered.while another 4,520 are underway.
