President Alberto Fernández called for “institutionalizing those who work in the popular economy” and thanked those who are part of the political project “that seeks to make our economy grow”, while this Sunday UTEP mobilized for International Workers’ Day andn downtown Buenos Aires to ask for recognition and support the policies promoted from the Casa Rosada.
“Today, on the occasion of Labor Day, hundreds of thousands of workers of the popular economy, gathered in the UTEP (Union of Workers of the Popular Economy), they marched through the streets peacefully claiming their rights and demanding a more dynamic economy that contains them”the President wrote on his personal Twitter account.

Likewise, Alberto Fernández remarked that “the Argentine economy recovers, production grows and formal work increases” and pointed out that “we must deal with our internal debt”.

In addition, he expressed his “sincere gratitude to all of them for being part, even with differences, of this political project that seeks to make our economy grow and that growth be distributed without postponing the legitimate aspirations of millions of Argentine men and women.”
UTEP -made up of the Evita Movement, the Clasista and Combative Current (CCC) and the Somos Barrios de Pie Movement- held its own act in commemoration of International Workers’ Dayfilling 9 de Julio avenue between De Mayo and San Juan avenues, in the neighborhood of Constitución, where he asked for the law “Land, Roof and Work” and stated: “We are going to be in the streets to support and accompany the measures in favor of the people that the President takes.”
