The President and the Brazilian philosopher Emir Sader spoke about the situation in the region

Fernandez and Sader met at Casa Rosada

President Alberto Fernández met this Monday with the Brazilian philosopher and political scientist Emir Sader, with whom he discussed the relationship between the two countries and current affairs in Latin America.

The meeting took place in the presidential office of Casa Rosada, official sources reported.

“It has been a great pleasure to meet Emir Sader, renowned Brazilian philosopher and political scientist, with whom I talked about current affairs in Latin America and the relationship between Brazil and Argentina”Fernandez wrote on his Twitter account.

Sader was born in São Paulo 79 years ago and graduated in Philosophy from the University of his city, where he obtained a master’s degree in political philosophy and a doctorate in Political Science.

He was a professor at that house of higher studies and worked as a researcher at the Center for Socio-Economic Studies of the University of Chile and was a professor of politics at the State University of Campinas.

In addition, he directs the Public Policy Laboratory (LPP) at the State University of Rio de Janeiro, where he teaches sociology and is professor emeritus.

He wrote 35 books, including “The Revenge of History”, “State and Politics in Marx”, “The Transition in Brazil: From Dictatorship to Democracy?”; “Cuba, Chile and Nicaragua: Socialism in Latin America”; “The Cuban Revolution; Democracy and dictatorship in Chile”; “Social movements in the democratic transition”; “Che’s humanistic socialism”; “Gramsci: power, politics and party”; Post-neoliberalism – Social policies in Brazil” and “Nelson Mandela”, among others.
