The Presidency of Peru urged the Power of attorney to apply the full weight of the law against Juan Antonio Enríquez García (48), who will serve preventive detention after being accused of kidnapping and sexually abusing a minor under 3 years of age in the district of José Leonardo Ortiz, province of Chiclayo, Lambayeque region.
In its social networks, the entity led by the head of state, peter castle, condemned the sexual assault against the girl and expressed solidarity with her and her family. Therefore, he asserted that this fact should not go unpunished.
“As a Government we condemn and repudiate the sexual assault suffered by a minor in Chiclayo. This unfortunate fact should not go unpunished. Our solidarity and all the support to the girl and her family. We ask the Judiciary the greatest weight of the law for the guilty”, he wrote on his Twitter account.
Also, from Presidency They assured that they will guarantee the help in the treatment that the minor requires. In addition to this, they made a call to fight against violence against children in the country.
“We guarantee the necessary help for the rehabilitation and comprehensive treatment of the minor. We call for unity as a country, to work together against violence and for the rights and care of our children”, he stated.
This Thursday, the head of the Second Preparatory Investigation Court of José Leonardo Ortiz, María Vásquez Vásquez, issued preventive detention against Enríquez García in response to a request made by the Public Ministrywhich accused him of rape and kidnapping to the detriment of the minor.
The girl’s kidnapping occurred last Tuesday, April 12, when she was on the corner of La Despensa and Goicochea streets and was recorded on a video surveillance camera. In these images, it is possible to see how the minor is carried in the arms of a man and puts her in the passenger seat of a vehicle.
Subsequently, On Wednesday, April 13, the Police captured Antonio Enríquez García and during the interrogation he admitted that he had kidnapped the minor. He then gave information on her whereabouts and the authorities were able to find her on the second floor of a house, which apparently would be the house of the kidnapper’s mother.
