The Poverty Index fell to 36.5% at the end of the first half of the year

The poverty rate fell at the end of the first half of the year to 36.5% compared to 37.3% in the same period last year, the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (Indec) reported on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the level of indigence was placed between January and June of this year at 8.8%, below the 10.7% of the same period in 2021, the agency added.
