The promotion of Turismo de Portugal included the inauguration of the wax statue of Cristiano Ronaldo that will be exhibited at the Tussauds Museum in New York.
Friday night in Times Square, New York was dominated by Portugal. First through Turismo de Portugal, which in a one-hour video showed a campaign highlighting 24 points in the country to attract tourists from the United States.
And then with Cristiano Ronaldo. Almost at the same time that the national team arrived in Qatar, in Times Square, a Ronaldo in video format was promoting his new wax statue that will be exhibited at Madame Tussauds in New York.
Pretending to be calling Times Square, Ronaldo greets New York and Times Square and counts down, during which the symbols of Turismo de Portugal and Madame Tussauds appear, at the end of which his wax statue is revealed.
In the statue, which was located in the most emblematic square in New York inside a glass box, Cristiano Ronaldo appears with the kit that the National Team will use in the World Cup and in the “yessss” pose with which he celebrates his goals.
In addition to appearing on the screens, the statue was also in Times Square, inside a huge display case, as can be seen in the photos provided by Madame Toussauds, who cites the player’s approval: “Is this really wax? They are kidding! The face is incredible, imagine two Ronaldos.”
