The portrait of cold-blooded criminals

Avatar

The province of Santiago has recently been shaken by the cruel and barbaric crime of Themis Carolina Cruz, 25, who according to the accusation of the Public Ministry was beaten to death by her sentimental partner, Simón Bolívar de los Santos Abreu Núñez, who is in preventive detention. one year as a measure of coercion.

What was revealed by the autopsy has stunned the most experienced authorities due to the strong evidence of planning, treachery and cold blood shown by the alleged executor of such a macabre crime.

Not only were the blows that caused his death enough, but the criminal would have forced Themis to consume high doses of cocaine to simulate an overdose, which shows a strategic move by the killer to get away with it.

However, this type of action that goes beyond even the act of taking a person’s life, by adding the vexation of the corpse or using the victim’s body as a tool or mechanism of impunity, is the subject of study by many experts in the human mentality.

Interview with the psychiatrist

When interviewed by elCaribe, the psychiatrist Secundino Palacios, speaking in general terms, described the antisocial personality disorder or psychopath as that person “cold, heartless, without pity, without pain, without remorse, without love and without compassion”.

“Generally, as cases like these occur or like the Chakra Shaman, who killed in series; This fact is hardly the debut or the first actions of this type of people, “he said.

“Consequently, when you see that there are actions of that nature of giving and then injecting substances, that is in case it has occurred and it is determined that there is a substance in the body fluids, lungs, viscera or respiratory tract of the person. victim; then it can be said that there was premeditation, treachery, stalking; that is to say, a whole psychopathological structure to harm”, said Palacios when describing a case of psychopathy in a general way.

To continue we will present some of the most emblematic cases of cold-blooded murders that have occurred in the country:

Victor Alexander Portorreal Mendoza, alias “Chakra Shaman”, was sentenced in January 2019 to 30 years in prison for the murder of his partner and his three stepchildren, whose crime is considered one of the most horrendous that has occurred in the country.

The forensic doctors who performed the autopsies on the deceased were presented as witnesses and testified that the body of Reyna Isabel Encarnación had 29 wounds caused by a knife, of which four were superficial and the others deep.

Dr. Yodelyn Villanueva said during her testimony that the body of the six-year-old girl had skull fractures and that the cause of death was asphyxiation due to strangulation.

During the trial, Dr. Esther Alcántara also testified, indicating that she performed autopsies on the 10-year-old girl and the 9-year-old boy. There, she explained that the body of the minor had two ties around his neck with which he was suffocated, while that of the infant had a fractured neck.

Both forensic doctors indicated that the women were raped, but due to the state of decomposition of the bodies, it was not possible to determine whether the action was committed before or after the murder.

Marlon Martinez, sentenced to 30 years for the disappearance and subsequent murder of Emely Peguero, is another perfect example of cold and criminal behavior.

When Emely disappeared in August 2017, Marlon and her mother Marlin Martinez, held a press conference to claim that they did not know the whereabouts of the minor, knowing that she was already dead.

The reason for the crime was Emely’s pregnancy, which was unwanted by Marlon, who was her boyfriend at the time.

Marlon hit Emely in the head, and while she was unconscious, he tried to abort her by tearing her private part with a sharp object, which ultimately caused her death.

For a week the country remained in suspense as it did not know where the body of the minor was, since her mother, wanting to buy time, tried to agree with the authorities with impunity in exchange for reporting the whereabouts of her body. She is currently free since she was only sentenced to 2 years for child abduction and concealment of the body.

The psycho

Mario José Redondo Llenas is mentally ill. He has been described by experts who have studied him as a heartless possessor of an icy personality who raped and murdered his cousin José Rafael Llenas Aybar, stabbing him with more than thirty stab wounds throughout the body.

Twenty-five years after that event, society has still not been able to recover due to the details surrounding the event, such as the simulation shown by the criminal who, knowing what had happened, pretended for several days to look for his cousin together with his relatives and friends who were distraught over their fate.

Redondo Llenas, together with his accomplice Manuel Moliné, were sentenced to 30 and 20 years respectively for the so-called “crime of the century”. Argentine diplomats who supposedly had a satanic sect were involved in the event, which was never proven since they were able to leave the country.

Moliné, who helped kill the boy, was released several years ago after serving his full sentence. While Redondo Llenas would come out in May 2026, the date on which he finally legally pays for his crime with society.
