Pope Francis and a heartfelt letter.

The Pope Francisco sent a letter to the president of the Association Mothers of Plaza de Mayo, Hebe de Bonafiniin homage to the 45th anniversary of the first march demanding the reappearance alive of those kidnapped and disappeared during the dictatorship and in which he claimed the struggle and his “admirable career.”

“Dear Hebe, thank you very much for your message and for the book you sent me. I read it carefully and it is admirable trajectory that the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo, with permanence, have carried out during these 45 years”, begins the text of Francisco written by hand, as he usually does, and sent from the Vatican.

To conclude, Jorge Bergoglio expressed: “I pray for you and please do not forget to pray for me. May Jesus bless you and the Holy Virgin take care of you. Fraternally“.

The Mothers commemorated on Saturday with various acts the 45 years of the first round they held in Plaza de Mayo, on April 30, 1977, when a handful of them marched around the Pirámide de Mayo to demand the “appearance alive” of their detained children-disappeared during the last civic dictatorship- military in Argentina.
